Child counselling offers a safe environment for young people to be able to express their feelings. Using creative techniques to support engagement, encourage young people to face their challenges, working towards goals and solutions with anything they may be struggling with and help them to understand where these feelings may have come from.
Counselling gives opportunity for the young person to share thoughts in a non judgemental space. By speaking to a counsellor it offers the child an independent person, who is there for them and solely them.
Talking to a professional it can help them to understand and regulate their emotions better, build resilience and develop coping mechanisms that will support them moving forward.
